Changed Into Another Man
by Mary Justene Martin
January 14, 2012
Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you mightily, and you
shall prophesy with them and be changed into another man. It
shall be when these signs come to you, do for yourself what the
occasion requires, for God is with you. (1 Samuel 10:6,7)
This ordinary young man was about to be changed. We all
know we need to change. The problem is most of us believe we
must do the changing. If you look closely you will see that it was
the Spirit of the Lord that brought about this change.
Think about it. If someone came to you and told you that
you were about to become the president of the United States,
you would probably think they were mad. But if you actually
believed them what would you do? If you are like me, you'd go
out and try to find new clothes to fit the occasion and then buy a
book entitled “How to become President in 10 easy steps”. The
fact is, there is no way I could become president in any amount
of steps unless God did the changing.
Most of us are hindered from our destiny because we think
we are not equal to the task before us. The truth is, God has
been grooming us and placing desires in our heart our whole
lives. I have absolutely no desire to become president. I do
have a desperate desire to become a queen. Before you drop
over laughing, realize that it is this deep-seated desire within
me to be the Bride of Christ, that drives me to do whatever it
takes to acquire this desire.
Understand, I do know that the Bride of Christ is His church,
and that I will only be a very small cell in the body of Christ, but
which cell in your body would you eliminate as unimportant, and
not part of you? The point I am trying to make is that when God
places His desires within you, you are instantly changed into
another person. One who is driven to become Holy Spirit's
project.
Unfortunately, if we do not read His word, we will always
believe that either the change is impossible, or that we must
change ourselves. Either way, we are going to fail. Religion has
taught us that we have no need to be filled with the Holy Spirit,
and even warns their congregations to steer away from such
silliness. However, it is written all over God's word, how the
Holy Spirit was the power that changed the world. He is still the
power that will change the world. Right now, He (Holy Spirit) is
grooming you to become a very important part of the new thing
God is doing on the earth. Notice, I said on the earth, not in
heaven. This means we have desires that must be
accomplished here and now. I encourage you to surrender to
this amazing process, instead of buying another book to tell you
how. Jesus created the whole earth by the power of Holy Spirit.
He has enough power to change you.
