| Child Of Passion November 7, 2000 |
Child of passion and desire, You thought you'd set the world on fire You made a promise you would keep The road was long the hills were steep. Born, a smile upon your face The years would after while erase You picked up burdens too heavy to bear The smile was soon replaced with care. Child of passion, child of grace You gave her away, piece by piece. And still you walked and on you'd climb Searching for love, now a waste of time. No one seemed to want what you had to give As duty called, you forgot how to live. The dream still there, but the price to high You ran from the pain, you thought you'd die. Darkness surrounded and brought it's shame The passion forgotten, replaced with pain. Moments were stolen for fantasy Of the child you were, not the woman you'll be. But suddenly a light broke through Lighting the path for a brand new you! Woman of passion and desire... You still may see the world on fire. Beneath the ashes it was there all along. The time is NOW to sing your song! |
