The widow still waits all alone, Waiting for life to be done, The Orphans forgotten, confused, Their hearts are broken, abused. And Jesus still bleeds. The sick in their hospital room Are hearing pronouncements of doom, Religion, in it's ivory tower, Is empty of truth for the hour. And Jesus still bleeds . So what are you waiting for? Standing there with your hand on the door? Will you join in with their lot? Or will you expose Satan's plot? And Jesus still bleeds. You know in your heart what to do, Their haunting eyes beckon you, Will you work to answer the call? By touching just one, you touch all. And Jesus still bleeds. Will you bind up the wound in His side, By freeing His captured Bride? Or will you wait one more day, While your own life is draining away? Must Jesus still bleed? |
