New Creature
January 22, 2004
Justene Martin

The place where I live
Had grown weary and dim,
Surrounded by memories of strife,
So I've found a new place
Got a smile on my face
I've moved into a brand new life.

Got no time for repairs
Nor to fix up the mess,
Too much time has been wasted already,
I've got people to know
And new places to go,
I'm moving real slow, but I'm steady.

Every morning I rise,
And I reach for the prize
When I put on my new mode of travel,
Yes I'm stepping inside,
Of my Savior to hide,
As I give Him my life to unravel.

It's a great new ride
As I'm looking outside
At the world, through my Saviors eyes.
And I see all the pain
Of those trying in vain
And I understand now why He cries.

See, He bought something new
And expects it to do.
The new thing that He had in mind.
But it hasn't, and so,
He has asked me to go,
Give instructions to all I can find.

If your place is now cold
And your life's feeling old
You can move into God's greatest treasure
It's your place in the Son
Where your life has begun
Where you'll find your joy without measure.
