Rest For Your Soul
July 13, 2004
Justene Martin

If your soul is tired and weary
And you need a place to rest,
I know the perfect refuge
For refreshing it's the best.

I found it quite by accident,
One dark and lonely night,
I was groping in the darkness
Where my soul had lost it's sight,

From the shadows came a mocking,
Scary voices whispered there,
"You will never find the answer,
You'll be lost here in despair."

But suddenly a light appeared
From somewhere in the room,
Excitedly, I grasped a way
To get out of this gloom.

Then as I ventured nearer
There was comfort everywhere,
And another voice called
"Hang on, keep on walking,
I'm right here."

The voice was in my own heart
He had been there all the time,
So rest is waiting for you
It's in your heart, just like mine.
