Our life is an eternal book God has written for the age. Each day is a chapter That unfolds with every page. The author knows the ending Before the title or the plot He has fashioned every detail And written down each thought. To me it's been a mystery Just a story to be told Of a life that seemed so pointless Being born and growing old. In between He had a purpose There's a reason why I live But I must read each chapter, In the order that He gives. Every day a blank page A chapter to begin Where my life becomes a story Hidden in the Master's pen. Some chapters filled with sorrow And some chapters filled with pain But some are filled with victory As I learn to love again. I'd like to learn the outcome But it's not for me to know It's a secret that is hidden By the One who loves me so. Now every day I ask Him How this chapter will surprise, But in my heart I really know The Hero gets the prize! |
