Vows
January 15, 2008
Justene Martin

Today I made a promise,
A commitment to my King,
Because I want to please Him
More than anything,
The promises I’ve made before
Were lame, they had no heart.
Most of them forgotten,
Before I even start.
But I’m a woman now,
A big girl, if you will,
I don’t have time for foolishness.
That just won’t fill the bill.
Today I don a wedding gown,
Take a vow to change my life,
In reverence to my Husband,
As a strong and virtuous wife.
The ring upon my finger,
Means my promise has no end.
Today I vow eternal love,
Today, our life begins.
