| Local Poet Publishes First Book Local poet, Justene Martin, is just releasing her first book. Dancing With The King is a combination of inspirational poetry and a look into the intimate relationship inspired by the bible. The book is a short read which includes meditations and poetry. Released in time for gift-giving, the author hopes to spark fresh insights as well as deliver a gift that will inspire the readers again and again. "It was through times in my life that I felt a need for a better understanding of God, that my writing and poetry evolved" says Martin. "Most of my writing speaks directly to me, as if I am the reader. I have purposely kept it small and inexpensive, so as to reach those who truly wish to develop a deeper relationship with God." Martin operates a barber/salon, Shear DeLight, in Clarinda, where she and her business partner, Jana Viether, regularly hold bible studies and nondenominational fellowship in an informal atmosphere, for anyone who wishes to attend. "We call our little back room The Vineyard in reference to the vineyard mentioned in the Song of Songs." says Martin.
